Washington DC’s Foggy Bottom ARC Hotel Gets a Refresh
ARC Hotel, Washington, DC, has reopened after a renovation, debuting as part of the Series by Marriott brand.
Formerly known as ARC Hotel Washington DC, Georgetown, the property is located in the Foggy Bottom neighborhood, near the Foggy Bottom–GWU Metro station, downtown Washington, DC, Reagan National Airport, and surrounding neighborhoods.

Foggy Bottom is considered a gay-friendly and safe neighborhood in Washington, D.C. Located near George Washington University and the State Department, it offers a central, walkable, and secure environment. While not a primary hub of gay nightlife like Dupont Circle or U Street, it is highly inclusive. The closest dedicated gay bar to the ARC Hotel in Washington, DC, is The Fireplace, approximately 0.8 miles away.
The hotel’s location also offers access to Georgetown University, the National Mall, the Lincoln Memorial, the Kennedy Center, White House, and the Georgetown Waterfront. Guests are minutes away from dining, nightlife, shopping, and cultural experiences in Georgetown, Downtown, Dupont Circle, and Logan Circle.

The renovation includes updates to both public and private spaces. Guest rooms have been renovated with improved space-saving furnishings in a sleek contemporary silhouette, fresh carpeting, and design accents. The arrival and check-in area features a new front desk, enhanced lighting, and an updated layout. Public spaces now include new furnishings, curated art, updated finishes, and refreshed carpeting.

A marketplace offers grab-and-go snacks, beverages, and travel essentials, along with expanded hot breakfast options. The hotel now participates in the Marriott Bonvoy program, allowing guests to earn and redeem points for stays and access member benefits such as exclusive rates and points accumulation toward free nights.
