Flockhill Lodge in New Zealand’s Southern Alps Opens New Wellness Spa
Flockhill Lodge, in the wild heart of New Zealand’s Southern Alps, has opened the Flockhill Wellness Spa, a thoughtfully designed space created to complement guests’ time in nature.
The Wellness Spa offers a series of restorative experiences, including hot-and-cold immersion and massage treatments, designed to support relaxation, recovery, and a sense of calm after days spent outdoors on Flockhill‘s stunning 36,000-acre property.

Guests are welcomed into the spa with Flockhill’s Signature Tea. The bespoke cold infusion features a strawberry and plum base, with seasonal herbs and spices grown on the property, which is also home to the lodge’s award winning Sugarloaf restaurant by chef Taylor Cullen and his team. Sugarloaf sources most of its ingredients from on site.
“The Wellness Spa is not about ticking boxes or following trends,” said Andrew Cullen, Flockhill’s GM. “It’s about creating space. For rest, recovery, and reconnection, in a way that feels true to Flockhill and the landscape we’re part of.”

The addition of the Wellness Spa, with a gym, further enhances the Flockhill Lodge experience, complementing the property’s intimate scale, expansive working sheep station, and adventure offerings, including horse riding, caving, hiking, and fishing.
