Tauck Expands Women’s Only Small Group Tours For 2027
Tauck has announced the expansion of its Women’s Only collection of small-group tours for 2027, increasing the portfolio to seven itineraries and entering North America for the first time.
As solo and small-group travel among women continues to grow, Tauck announced in March that it would be introducing three women-only departures in Europe, each operating as a Small Group journey and designed to foster connection, cultural immersion and shared discovery.
The special departures in Ireland, Italy and Portugal will be led by a female Tauck Director and is a Small Group journey, averaging between 20 and 24 guests, offering an intimate and supportive travel environment. The departures are scheduled consecutively in late September and October 2026, allowing guests to extend their travels over multiple journeys.

Now, the family-owned tour operator is expanding Women’s Only Departures in 2027, with more itineraries and more dates. While the eight-day A Week In… Portugal returns, the other six itineraries span Italy, France, Scandinavia, England, and Canada. The tours will run from June to October, with some itineraries offering more than one women-only departure.
“For women accustomed to juggling so much, there is quiet luxury in letting every detail be handled by someone else,” said Jennifer Tombaugh, CEO of Tauck. “Expanding the program across two continents reflects a real desire among women to travel together and connect with the people and places that bring a destination to life.”
The 2027 Women’s Only Departures include:
- A Week In… Champagne & Alsace: a new eight-day itinerary focused on France’s renowned wine regions
- A Week In… Italy’s Hidden Wine Country: an eight-day journey through Italy’s “slow-food heartland.”
- A Week In… Copenhagen & Oslo: an eight-day exploration of Denmark and Norway’s capital cities.
- Tuscany, Cinque Terre & the Portofino Coast: another eight-day tour of Italy, but focused on the culinary heritage and coastal scenery of the northwestern region.
- England and the West Country: an 11-day exploration of Southwest England, covering Cotswolds, Bath, Windsor, Avebury, Cornwall, Devon, Glastonbury, and Dartmoor National Park.
- A Week In… Portugal: an eight-day tour from Porto to Lisbon.
- Canada’s Capital Cities plus Niagara Falls: a 10-day land tour of Eastern Canada, covering Montreal, Ottawa, Quebec City, Toronto, Niagara Falls, and Niagara-on-the-Lake.
Bookings are now open for the 2027 Women’s Only Departures.
“Women are seeking travel experiences that offer not just discovery, but genuine connection and community,” said Tauck CEO Jennifer Tombaugh. The departures offer “a built-in sense of ease, encouragement, and belonging.”

Designed around the idea that how you travel matters as much as where you travel, the women-only departures offer the same enriching itineraries and signature Tauck inclusions, enhanced by the shared perspective that comes from traveling with women. The departures are especially well-suited for multi-generational pairs such as mothers and daughters, sisters exploring together, longtime friends planning a milestone celebration, affinity groups, or solo guests who appreciate the ease of joining a community-minded departure.
Guests will enjoy insider access and exclusive cultural experiences—from private estate lunches and vineyard tastings to elegant stays in historic castles and boutique hotels—alongside expert guides who reveal each destination’s hidden treasures. Whether indulging in regional cuisine and wine, connecting with local artisans, or sharing stories over a relaxed evening meal, the experience is crafted to foster community, camaraderie, and authentic cultural immersion.
