Aloha, Pride! Honolulu Gets Ready for a Big LGBTQ+ Weekend
If you’re looking for a Pride getaway with sunshine, beaches and plenty of LGBTQ+ nightlife, Honolulu is gearing up for five days of celebrations this October.
Honolulu Pride 2026, themed “Ho‘omau”—a celebration of queer resilience, unity, and perseverance—runs October 14–18, with the main parade and festival on Saturday, October 17.
The festivities kick off Wednesday, October 14, with a Pride Kick-Off Pau Hana at International Market Place, followed Thursday by a special Hawai‘i Theatre Pride Concert headlined by New Orleans-born queer icon Big Freedia. Friday brings the official opening party at Scarlet Honolulu, setting the stage for the weekend’s centerpiece.
Saturday is the big one. The Honolulu Pride Parade starts at approximately 3 p.m. at Magic Island in Ala Moana Regional Park before making its way along Ala Moana Boulevard and Kalākaua Avenue toward Waikīkī. The parade route is roughly three miles, ending near Kapiʻolani Park. Afterward, head to the Tom Moffatt Waikīkī Shell for the Honolulu Pride Festival, where organizers promise more than 70 community booths and four hours of live entertainment. The evening continues with an official after-party at Hula’s Bar & Lei Stand.
Sunday keeps the rainbow momentum going with a Pride Drag Brunch at the ‘Alohilani Resort Waikīkī Beach, followed by the Lei Pool Party and an official closing party at ADEZ Steakhouse & Lounge.
