Jungle Vibes, Inclusive Luxury: Kimpton Tres Ríos Opens in Mexican Nature Reserve

Freshwater rivers, private cenotes, vibrant restaurants and bars, and Kimpton’s signature warmth and LGBTQ-friendly commitment come together in a Riviera Maya escape.

Kimpton, part of IHG Hotels & Resorts’ luxury and lifestyle portfolio, welcomes travelers to Kimpton Tres Ríos. The all-inclusive resort is set within a privately owned, 326-acre nature park where freshwater rivers, cenotes and the Caribbean shoreline shape a stay rooted in discovery, connection and Kimpton’s distinctly personal approach to hospitality.

“Kimpton Tres Ríos brings the warmth, individuality and intuitive service that define Kimpton to one of the Riviera Maya’s most extraordinary natural settings,” said Jorge Martinez, General Manager of Kimpton Tres Ríos. “From cenote-fed rivers and jungle trails to lively dining and daily moments of wonder, the resort invites guests to experience the culture and landscape of this remarkable place in a way that feels personal, generous and unmistakably Kimpton.”

Nature all around you

The resort takes its name from three freshwater rivers that wind through the grounds before emptying into the sea. Guests can swim and kayak in one cenote-fed river, while six of the property’s 10 cenotes can be explored on guided tours, including one designated for swimming and snorkeling.

The park is home to 120 plant species and 90 animal species, including coatimundis, spider monkeys, agoutis, raccoons, anteaters, white-tailed deer, iguanas, and numerous birds and fish.

Guests can experience the resort through guided nature walks and kayak excursions, each offering a closer look at the jungle trails, freshwater landscapes and Caribbean shoreline that define the resort’s singular sense of place.

Drinking and dining, too

And while you’re surrounded by nature, you have all the 5-star comforts: dining, drinks, and daily recreation through characterful restaurants and bars, 24-hour Suite Service, four outdoor pools, a two-story fitness center, event space, resort programming, and activities for all ages.

Dining at Kimpton Tres Ríos brings the brand’s restaurant-and-bar spirit to the Riviera Maya table, with venues designed to feel social, expressive, and full of character. The experience invites guests to move easily among polished dinners, casual daytime rituals, spirited cocktails, and unexpected moments of discovery.

Each venue brings its own point of view, creating a lineup that feels eclectic, intuitive, and distinctly Kimpton. Bacetto channels Italian cuisine through an intimate, convivial lens, pairing familiar flavors with reimagined classic cocktails. Kotori blends Japanese tradition with modern technique, while El Carnal offers a refined yet relaxed take on the steakhouse. At open-air De La Calle, Mexico’s street-food culture shines in a setting that feels lively, local, and made for sharing.

Café Casa turns coffee, pastries and fresh juices into an easy daily ritual, while La Campana brings a bright, come-as-you-are energy to the sports bar experience with curated beers and tropical character. Across the resort, handcrafted cocktails, local and international beers and wines keep the experience relaxed, generous and close at hand from poolside afternoons to beachfront evenings.

Your relaxed retreat

Kimpton Tres Ríos offers relaxed indoor-outdoor retreats, layered with natural textures and artful details. Mangrove-view rooms, one-, two-, and three-bedroom suites, and a Presidential Suite offer space for couples, families, and groups. Private balconies and terraces invite quiet moments amid the resort’s natural setting, while connecting rooms add flexibility for families and multigenerational travelers.

Four outdoor pools create natural gathering places for leisurely days in the sun, complemented by whirlpools, cabanas and nonmotorized water sports. The pace shifts as the day unfolds, from sunrise yoga on the beach to guided stargazing and moonlit sound baths after dark, giving guests easy ways to enjoy the resort’s natural setting from morning to night.

For those looking to slow down, the 10,000-square-foot Kej Spa offers hydrotherapy, massage and beauty treatments alongside Mayan-inspired rituals, including a temazcal experience and the Cenote Sacred Treatment.

The two-story fitness center adds another option for movement during the stay, with weights and cardio equipment on the first floor and two dedicated studios upstairs for cycling, yoga, stretching and meditation.

In 2027, Kimpton Tres Ríos plans to expand its offerings with a dedicated adults-only experience for a more relaxed stay at the resort. The new offering will include rooms and suites with swim-up access and private plunge pools, creating a distinct retreat within the property.
