2022 Rainbow Ski Weekend Near Tokyo

LGBTQ+ travelers will converge on Urabandai, Japan from March 12 to March 13, 2022, for Rainbow Ski Weekend. The annual event was canceled last year due to COVID, but organizers and revelers are ready to hit the slopes this year! It all goes down at a resort a 3-hour drive north of Tokyo.

For six years, Out Asia Travel has organized the annual event, and all interested guests – LGBTQ+ couples and solo travelers – should consider booking the Rainbow Ski Weekend tour package which includes:

・ Hotel stay (1 night, dinner and breakfast included)

・ Club party admission

・ Free transfer to and from the ski resort is included.

WEEKEND SCHEDULE
On Saturday, March 12, a chartered LGBTQ+ tour bus will leave for the Urabandai Lake Resort from Tokyo (Shinjuku Nichome) at 7:30 am. At 12:30, guests will enjoy skiing or snowboarding at Nekoma Ski Resort. A complimentary ski lesson from a gay instructor will be provided for newbies who want to learn how to ski.

At 6 pm, guests will enjoy a buffet dinner at Hibara Dining on the 1st floor, where Japanese, Western and Chinese food will be served.

Next up is the big party! From 7 pm to 11 pm, G.O. Revolution will host the Rainbow Ski Weekend Lounge Party where sexy go-go boys dance and Drag Queens Akio Morimura and Rachel Damour will perform. DJ toHru, a veteran DJ from Fukushima who spins J-POP, and DJ Asako, who spins house, dance classics, Billboard hits, and Oneha, will both keep guests dancing all night!

If guests want to keep the party going after the party, organizers suggest heading over to the bar across the street from Togen.

On Sunday, March 13, guests will enjoy a buffet breakfast before hitting the slopes again at Nekoma Ski Resort until 3:30 pm, when everyone will return to the hotel to prepare for the trek back to Tokyo via a private shuttle bus.

Out Asia Travel will monitor the COVID situation to ensure everyone’s safety for the two-day event. Be advised that the event could be canceled because of imposed COVID restrictions or if the ski resorts close for some unforeseen reason.
