Uniworld LGBTQ+ Cruises: 2024 Holland and Belgium at Tulip Time

If you’ve traveled to the Netherlands before, then you probably know that one of the best times to visit is in the springtime to witness the fields of colorful tulips in bloom. Now, imagine experiencing it all with Uniworld Boutique River Cruises, a luxury river cruise company where inclusivity goes beyond amenities.

The brand has tapped LGBTQ+ tourism leaders to ensure that all guests feel welcome and safe onboard its ships. Its partnership with the pioneers in creating inclusive travel options, gay and lesbian travel veterans Gregg Kaminsky and Kelli Carpenter (KelliGregg Travel), started in 2017 and they continue to host annual LGBTQ+ sailings in Europe onboard Uniworld.

LGBTQ+ travelers can join Uniworld next year for a week of fun and friendship with friends, family, and allies on the Out On the Rivers limited edition sailings. If you want to experience Tulip Season in Holland and Belgium, then you’re in luck! Consider booking the Out in the Tulips! cruise set to depart from Brussels, Belgium on April 14, 2024.

On this Holland & Belgium at Tulip Time cruise, guests will embark on a river journey that starts in Brussels, with stops to visit Antwerp, Maastricht, Cuijk, Schoonhoven, and finally, Amsterdam. Some sightseeing highlights include:

  • Discover Antwerp’s penchant for culinary treats, including Belgian waffles, beer, pralines, and chocolate on a walking tour.
  • Visit Maastricht, a city with hundred national heritage sites, to uncover why it’s one of the most beautiful cities in Holland.
  • Follow in Van Gogh’s footsteps with a stroll through Nuenen, where you’ll wander through the sites that inspired much of his art.
  • Visit Kinderdijk to see its 19 well-preserved windmills that have stood the test of time.
  • Spend a half day at 70-acre Keukenhof Gardens in Amsterdam to see great drifts of brilliantly colored tulips and daffodils.
