5-Star Irama Set to Open in Kuala Lumpur
Nestled in the vibrant heart of Kuala Lumpur with sweeping views of the city skyline, Irama captures the spirit of the Malaysian capital.
Drawing inspiration from the dynamic energy and warmth of Malaysian culture, this five-star urban hotel blends contemporary design with heritage elements to create a distinctive guest experience.
Irama Kuala Lumpur is set to open in 2026, marking one of the largest new hotel developments in the city with 766 rooms and suites. The opening introduces a contemporary hospitality experience shaped by Malaysian culture, design, and a distinct brand philosophy rooted in rhythm and harmony.

Irama, meaning “rhythm” or “melody” in Malay, defines the essence of the brand. It represents balance, flow, and intention, guiding how guests experience the hotel from arrival to departure. This philosophy is expressed through the brand’s identity, symbolized by a songbird in mid-flight, encircled by motifs inspired by traditional Malay craftsmanship. Together, these elements reflect a seamless blend of heritage and modern refinement.
“Irama Kuala Lumpur is designed to feel intuitive and effortless, where every element moves in sync with our guests,” said Mr. Praba Ratha, General Manager of Irama Kuala Lumpur. “Our approach to hospitality is not about excess, but about creating a sense of ease, where service, space, and experience come together naturally.”

With 766 rooms, the hotel ranks among the largest upcoming openings in Kuala Lumpur. Accommodation begins with 32 sqm Deluxe Rooms and extends to Club Rooms, Junior Suites, Executive Suites, and Premier Suites. Larger offerings include Apartment Suites, the Presidential Suite, and the 320 sqm Irama Royal Suite, all featuring warm, contemporary interiors and city skyline views.

Irama Kuala Lumpur is also positioned as a leading convention hotel, supported by an extensive range of meeting and event facilities. The property will feature 12 meeting rooms, two ballrooms, and a dedicated auditorium, offering flexibility for events of varying scale. The Irama Grand Ballroom accommodates up to 700 guests for banquet settings and 1,000 for theatre-style arrangements, while the Lotus Ballroom hosts up to 300 guests for banquets. A distinctive highlight is the 300-seat auditorium on the 40th floor, offering an elevated setting for conferences, presentations, and private events, with panoramic views of the city.
Dining will play a central role in the guest experience, with seven venues across the property. These include an all-day dining coffee house, speciality Chinese and Indian restaurants, and a patisserie. Social spaces such as the Lobby Lounge, Cigar Bar, and a poolside alfresco venue provide settings that transition easily from day to evening.

Leisure facilities include a 25-meter outdoor pool for adults, a 24-hour fitness center, and a full-service spa. Guest services encompass concierge, valet parking, EV charging stations, laundry, and complimentary shuttle connections to key shopping and lifestyle districts.
“As Kuala Lumpur continues to grow as a regional destination, Irama Kuala Lumpur represents our commitment to developing hospitality experiences that are both globally relevant and locally rooted,” said Mr Alrik Shen, Projects Manager. “We see this hotel finding its rhythm in the city’s next phase of growth.”
Irama Kuala Lumpur is designed for today’s travelers, where business and leisure meet. Thoughtfully designed spaces and modern amenities support productivity, connection, and rest, while maintaining a strong sense of place. When it opens, Irama Kuala Lumpur will present a new expression of Malaysian hospitality, shaped by rhythm, guided by culture, and delivered with quiet confidence.
