Cleveland is a great Halloween destination due to its numerous haunted attractions, including scream parks, ghost tours of historic sites like Franklin Castle and Grays Armory, and nearby attractions like the Haunted Schoolhouse. The CLE also hosts unique events, such as the Spooky Pooch Parade, and offers traditional fall activities like pumpkin patches.

Franklin Castle
Cleveland’s most haunted location is booking overnight stays! Visitors can test their mettle by staying overnight at the historic castle, built in 1881. This piece of land has witnessed several iconic moments in history, including the Civil War and Prohibition, and was once owned by Judy Garland’s last husband, Michael DeVinko—also known as Mickey Deans. The castle offers tours every Thursday evening from 7:00 pm to 8:30 PM and 9:15 pm to 10:45 pm, and overnight stays are available on Friday and Saturday nights. Prices start at $300 per night. Buckland Museum of Witchcraft Magick & Occult
Cleveland is home to a one-of-a-kind witchcraft museum. Founded in 1966, this is the country’s first collection of its kind. The museum features a range of permanent exhibits featuring items from ancient Egyptian afterlife dolls to artifacts from the Salem Witch trials. There are also rotating exhibits, so there’s always something new to see.
Cedar Point Amusement Park
Cedar Point is no stranger to being on the slightly scary side. This year brings the debut of The Conjuring: Beyond Fear, a new horror experience connected with The Conjuring movie series.

The Haunted House Restaurant
The aroma of freshly popped popcorn, a box office-style host stand and servers dressed in theater usher uniforms welcome guests to the Haunted House Restaurant, where every element is inspired by classic horror films. A menu of urban eclectic American dishes features showstoppers like Nightmare on Elm Street Corn, Poultrygeist sandwich and Texas Chainsaw burger. In October, the restaurant celebrates with 32 days of Halloween events, including weekly team trivia contests, a month-long costume contest and treat bags for guests.
