An Exceptional Season Begins at Alex Lake Zürich
It’s “terrace season” at this elegant Lake Zürich property, where panoramic vistas and a new hotel manager usher in a delightful Summer.
Alex Lake Zurich kicks off this year’s terrace season with the appointment of Dario Salvel as Hotel Manager and the opening of its lakeside terrace. Having assumed his new role in early April, the seasoned hotelier brings extensive experience in Switzerland’s luxury hospitality sector, along with strong operational and culinary expertise.

Dario Salvel has built a distinguished career in Swiss luxury hospitality. His key positions include the Widder Hotel Zurich, where he also helped shape the original F&B concept for Alex Lake Zurich; the Grand Hotel National Lucerne; and, most recently, the Bellevue Palace Bern. He began his career with a culinary apprenticeship at the Savoy Hotel Baur en Ville in Zurich and holds a degree from the Lucerne School of Hospitality (SHL).

Further experience at renowned establishments in Switzerland and abroad has refined his profile as both a host and a leader. He now assumes operational responsibility for the lakeside property. Marco Zanolari, CEO of The Living Circle, comments, “Dario Salvel combines operational excellence with a refined sense of quality, gastronomy, and hospitality. His close connection to Alex Lake Zurich, whose positioning he has already helped shape, is particularly valuable. With his clear leadership style, passion for outstanding experiences, and entrepreneurial mindset, he will continue to develop the property with focus and ambition. We are delighted to welcome him to this key position.”

Start of the terrace season on Lake Zurich
Just in time for spring, Alex Lake Zurich opens its lakeside terrace on April 15, marking the start of the season. Set directly on the water, it ranks among Lake Zurich’s most attractive destinations, blending effortless elegance with impressive views. At Alex Restaurant, Head Chef Luigi de Gregorio and his team serve Mediterranean specialties both indoors and on the terrace. With new leadership, a distinctive culinary signature, and a seasonal opening, Alex Lake Zurich reinforces its commitment to quality, hospitality, and contemporary lakeside experiences.
