Coral Gables Set to Host the 2024 Florida OutCoast Convention
Save the date! The 2024 Florida OutCoast Convention (FLOCC) is set for August 12-14, 2024, in Coral Gables! The FLOCC created Florida’s first and only LGBTQ Tourism Convention last year as a safe space for discussions, learning, and collaboration around inclusive tourism in Florida.
Look… we all know that Florida has become ground zero for right-wing politics that have infringed on the rights on the rights of LGBTQ+ and POC folx. But we can’t forget that there are LGBTQ+-owned businesses that need regular tourists (and their pink dollars) to stay afloat. Given that travel advisories are on the minds of tourism leaders throughout the country, especially in Florida, there is no better time to FLOCC together.
More than 250 attendees, 30+ speakers, and 25+ destinations are scheduled to be represented at this year’s convention. FLOCC draws people from statewide tourism offices in Florida, along with employees at every level working for local municipalities, hotels, tourist attractions, LGBTQ+ organizations, arts and cultural institutions, media agencies, travel planning companies, and global/national tourism organizations.
