Gay-Owned Bent Inn to Open in Las Vegas This Summer

Gay-owned hotel, Bent Inn and Pub will start to take reservations and open its doors to guests this summer! The 33-room boutique hotel will be the only gay/locally owned and operated boutique hotel and gastropub in downtown Las Vegas.

The new inn was developed by its parent company, Escape Resorts, Inc., which is owned and operated by longtime hoteliers Mark Hunter and Greg Kafka. The two business partners are also married, and they’ve previously owned and operated two well-known gay men’s resorts, Escape and Desert Paradise, in Palm Springs, California.

Located off the Vegas Strip, and steps from the Fremont Street Experience, the partners note that Bent Inn is the ideal destination for bold guests who want to immerse themselves in the local scene and the city’s visually audacious environment.

“We designed Bent Inn to be ally and straight-friendly but still true to the LGBTQ+ community. There are many resorts that claim to be gay-friendly, but sometimes that is just not enough,” said Hunter, chief escape officer. “We want Bent Inn to be a playfully welcoming place where unforgettable experiences and connections are formed. Community is very important to us, and we have been fortunate to be able to cultivate that at our previous resorts.”

Kafta, who serves as Bent Inn’s chief experience officer, adds, “Everyone needs a place where they are free to be themselves.”

And there’s good news if you’ve been a loyal guest at their previous resorts or a supportive member of the LGBTQ+ community! To show their appreciation, the team is creating a slate of generously discounted presale opportunities that will include a reduced-cost food and drink program and resort stays. The full list of presale discounts will be available and announced via social media during the first week of May.

The Bent Inn’s gastropub, with seating for 50 inside and seasonal outdoor dining, will offer a Bent perspective to traditional gastropub fare, serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner with an expanded shareable menu.

The hotel was originally developed as a small hotel in 1965 called the Moonlight Motel, then transitioned into an apartment complex. The property has been reimagined with a “mid-century meets industrial architecture style.” Artistic features throughout Inn vary from murals to original posters of gay pulp fiction of the ‘50s-‘60s that provide a hint of flamboyant mischievousness.
