Looking for something more low-key and, more importantly, sober? Head to Fool’s Kava House, a female- and queer-owned wellness café in downtown Arlington. This cozy, inclusive space offers non-alcoholic kava drinks and is designed for sober socializing, meaningful conversations, and community connection. It serves the increasingly popular kava—a mild sedative native to the Pacific Islands, plus matcha, coffee, chai, and more—think beverages with their own unique buzzy benefits, but without the booze. Arlington celebrates Pride with an annual festival, though the 2026 event was suspended by organizers after the Arlington City Council voted 5–4 to permanently repeal local anti-discrimination protections for LGBTQ+ residents. Organizers cited safety concerns and stated they could not host the event in a city that rescinded basic safeguards for sexual orientation and gender identity.
Organizers announced that Arlington Pride will return on June 12, 2027, at the Levitt Pavilion. The most recent Arlington Pride, in 2025, attracted some fabulous high-profile names such as RuPaul’s Drag Race queens Ra’Jah O’Hara, Nymphia Wind, and Ginger Minj, plus musician Brooke Eden and Trixie Mattel as DJ.
