Host Hotel for Blatino Oasis Sells Out!
Blatino Oasis is set to return to Palm Springs on September 14-17, 2023. And just minutes after announcing the availability to book rooms at the clothing-optional Canyon Club Hotel sold out!

In case you didn’t know, Joe Hawkins started Blatino Oasis in 2007 to create a safe space for gay, bi, pan, and trans men of color, because according to him, “they are rare here in California and most places.”
“Events in California with a national draw that are produced by men of color for men of color are also rare,” Hawkins told Vacationer Magazine. “The need for liberating, non-stigmatizing, getaway retreats like Blatino Oasis, is critical for the overall well-being of men of color. And it’s that need for healing that’s why I created this annual getaway.”
After California lifted its COVID restrictions, the dates for several events in Palm Springs, such as Coachella, were moved to the same weekend as the annual retreat for LGBTQ+ men of color. The change in dates for these high-profile events also contributed to an increase in airfare and hotel prices during April and May. So, organizers decided to find dates to make the annual event a more affordable experience for attendees, landing on September 14-17 as the dates for the epic annual event in 2023.
The location has also changed for this year’s festivities. After 10 years in Cathedral City, Blatino Oasis will move back to its original clothing-optional location at the Canyon Club Hotel in downtown Palm Springs.
