La Patte d’Ours: a French Bear Retreat!
La Patte d’Ours, or in English, The Bear Paw, is located west of Jars, a small town in the heart of La Champagne Berrichonne in central France (Centre -Val De Loire). It’s just a two-hour drive south of Paris and nestled between Sancerre vineyards, heather fields, and sheep!
The Bear Paw welcomes you for a day, a weekend, or a week of rest and relaxation. For bears and those who love them, Jean-François and Jean-Jacques offer a heated swimming pool, sauna, and Jacuzzi. Or just take a relaxing stroll while enjoying the culinary specialties of the region and the famous wines that accompany them. There are also many “wilderness” activities available such as walking, horseback riding, canoeing as well as nearby golf & tennis.
The two guest bedrooms are on the first floor in a building adjacent to the main house. Both have a large double bed, bathroom with shower, separate bathroom, and free wifi.
Meals will be served downstairs in the professional kitchen by Jean -François, now known as “ratatouille”, and offers a gourmet dinner using local produce (confirm when booking). Breakfast is also served here, or if the weather allows, served outside.
Relax as you are nestled in a hilly wooded countryside where you can be at peace and feel a hint of freedom putting you in the best of moods.
